Photos: Class of 2021 Shows Perseverance and Persistence

When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, everything and everyone had to adapt, including the students, faculty, staff, and community at Utah Valley University. Fortunately, perseverance and persistence are what our Wolverines are known for.

On May 7, 2021, UVU honored its largest-ever graduating class — 8,729 graduates earning a total of 10,443 degrees and certificates — with a repeat performance of 2020’s “drive-thru” convocations. True to the Wolverine spirit of flexibility and adaptability, the planned “drive-in” commencement ceremony was moved indoors due to inclement weather without missing a beat.

As students celebrated their extraordinary achievements with family and friends, the University Marketing and Communications photography team captured the moments in the photo gallery above.
