Update to Student Vaccine Requirement

We want to remind students that starting next week, you will see the vaccination status questionnaire when you log in to your myUVU student portal.

Dear Students,

We want to remind you that starting next week, you will see the vaccination status questionnaire when you log in to your myUVU student portal. It is a short, five-minute survey that allows you to declare your vaccination status or file for an exemption (in accordance with state law) based on religious, medical, or personal reasons. Please take the opportunity to complete this survey as soon as possible.

Additionally, we appreciate the feedback that we have received from you regarding the implementation of the UVU COVID-19 vaccination policy. We understand that many of you would like additional time to complete your vaccinations, locate your records, or contemplate your exemption status before completing the vaccination declaration survey. Based on your input, we are extending the timeframe for the survey to a deadline of October 1, 2021. Those who do not complete the vaccine questionnaire before then will not have access to register for spring courses.

UVU provides free COVID-19 vaccines in our on-campus clinic for all students, faculty, staff, and their immediate families. Moderna is offered currently. The Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines are anticipated to become available the first week of October. A third dose of the vaccine is also available to those who are classified as immunocompromised according to CDC guidelines

If you have questions regarding the vaccination requirement or anything else related to UVU COVID-19 protocols, please visit the COVID Info site.
