OREM, Utah — As Utah Valley University (UVU) embarks on another exciting fall semester, The Noorda Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce its upcoming season, featuring internationally renowned performers in music, dance, and theatre.

Events begin on Thursday, September 8, as dancer-illusionists MOMIX take the stage at The Noorda as part of their 40th anniversary performing season.

“We are so excited to be opening The Noorda once again with a season chock-full of exciting, engaging, and artistically vibrant performers,” said Alex Malone, executive director of The Noorda. “From intimate evenings of classical music, amazing modern dance, Broadway superstars, and one of the hottest bands around, The Noorda has something for everyone.”

In addition to serving as the Utah County home of The Utah Symphony, The Noorda will also host performances by Tony, Grammy, and Olivier Award-winning Broadway star Patti LuPone; legendary Black American dance troupe Ailey II; and internet sensation Postmodern Jukebox, among many others.

The Noorda is also the place to see performances by a wide variety of students and groups from UVU’s School of the Arts (SOA). In many instances, students will have opportunities to perform alongside seasoned professionals as part of the UVU SOA engaged learning experience. Students also get to participate in masterclasses and Q&A sessions with world-renowned performers.

“The arts possess the unparalleled power to inspire, enlighten, educate, and enthrall,” said Courtney Davis, UVU SOA dean. “With over 200 performing arts events across the departments of Dance, Music, and Theatre, the School of the Arts presents an enchanting banquet of choices to sample.”
