UVU Appoints Nathan Gerber as New AVP of Academic and Student Digital Services

Utah Valley University (UVU) has appointed Nathan Gerber as its new associate vice president of Academic and Student Digital Services (ASDS), effective immediately.

   

Utah Valley University (UVU) has appointed Nathan Gerber as its new associate vice president of Academic and Student Digital Services (ASDS), effective immediately.

As AVP of ASDS, Nathan will guide the academic and student digital services group. He will provide and support institutional technology — focused on academic and student needs — in the areas of computing, business intelligence, institutional research, application development, UI/UX design and implementation, classroom technology, and teaching and learning technologies. Nathan will enhance technology systems, improve UVU operations, transform academic and student services, increase the use of data to inform decision making, and improve student and faculty satisfaction and organizational culture.

Prior to his new role, Nathan served as the director of Web and Mobile Solutions at UVU. He has served as PACE president and represented the staff voice in executive leadership councils, the UVU Board of Trustees, the Faculty Senate, and numerous campus committees.

Nathan continues to innovate technology solutions for student success, faculty, and classroom support, and assists in creating the transformational culture needed for improved digital experiences. Nathan has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management and leadership.
