Utah Valley University (UVU), in partnership with The Marc C. and Deborah H. Bingham Foundation, cut the ribbon for the Bingham Family Clinic on April 17. The clinic offers full, free medical service to the community.
The Bingham Family Clinic reflects our commitment to uniting learning with service,” said UVU Provost Wayne Vaught. “By expanding access to high-quality healthcare, we are strengthening our community while preparing students to serve with knowledge, empathy, and a deep sense of responsibility. We are grateful for our partnership with the Bingham Foundation in creating a place where education and exceptional care come together.”
Located in the Health Professions Building on UVU’s West Campus, the Bingham Family Clinic provides free comprehensive medical care to those who may not otherwise have access to proper treatment, including individuals without insurance. Services include medical exams, chronic care management, preventative care, dental hygiene, and on-site pharmacy services.
In addition to creating more no-cost healthcare options in Utah County, the clinic creates hands-on learning opportunities for UVU students studying nursing, public health, and dental hygiene. Working in the clinic allows students to earn hours toward licensing while actively serving their community.
In addition to health sciences students, the clinic has leveraged the skills of students from other academic disciplines across campus. Language students have provided translation services, social work students have offered resource counseling, and computer science students have contributed to the design of the clinic’s website.
