Utah Valley University (UVU) again set the mark for educating the most Utahns among the state’s higher education institutions, with a record number of 48,670 total students for the 2025 fall semester. The number marks a 3.98% increase over last year’s total enrollment.
“At Utah Valley University, every student matters,” said Astrid S. Tuminez, president of UVU. “These record enrollment numbers reflect the trust students and their families place in us and our commitment to meeting them where they are — whether they are in high school, starting college for the first time, returning as working adults, or pursuing graduate education. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care, understanding each student’s goals, and creating pathways that help them succeed.”
Enrollment increased across all student levels, including high school, undergraduate, and graduate programs. The number of students enrolled in graduate programs topped 1,000 for the first time in UVU history, with 1,151 students, a 15.45% increase over last year.
The university’s adult learning population (students 25 or older) grew by 2.26%.
More than 45,900 UVU students are Utah residents. There are slightly more female than male students, at 24,449 to 24,169.
