UVU Celebrates 75 Years of Nursing Program with an Exhibit Honoring Utah’s Health Care Legacy

Utah Valley University invites the community to celebrate 75 years of UVU nursing education with a special anniversary exhibit on Wednesday, August 27, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the UVU Health Professions Building in Orem.

The exhibit paid tribute to the nurses, educators, and health care leaders who have shaped both the university and the well-being of communities across Utah. The event was free and open to the public, offering an inspiring look at the profession’s past, present, and future.

“This anniversary is about recognizing the impact the UVU nursing program continues to have in every corner of our state,” said Interim Dean of the UVU College of Health and Public Service Sue Jackson. “From humble beginnings to state-of-the-art training, our program has evolved to meet the needs of a changing world, while staying true to its mission of compassion and care.”

Visitors explored the stories, milestones, and innovations that have defined nursing education at UVU throughout the past seven decades. The exhibit featured archival photos, historical uniforms and equipment, and interactive displays showcasing the evolution of nursing and health care in Utah.

Attendees received free UVU Nursing swag for supporting the people and stories behind one of UVU’s most impactful programs.
