Clark Collings, general counsel at UVU, has been named to BusinessQ Magazine’s prestigious 2021 “40 Under 40” list of influential individuals who are working to evolve and shape the future of business throughout Utah.

The honor is bestowed annually on the state’s most established professionals who have founded companies, led nonprofits, chaired influential organizations, and more. They’re seen as prominent, up-and-coming business leaders.

In his position at UVU, Collings oversees the legal department and has the provision of legal services on all university privacy matters. He also serves as counsel and liaison to the UVU Foundation and provides legal counsel to the university’s athletics department. His experience also includes corporate governance, intellectual property licensing, real estate transactions, and employment matters.

“Clark has become an invaluable part of the university’s senior leadership team,” said President Tuminez. “I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honor than him. He is a mentor, a strategic thinker, and an experienced lawyer. We are fortunate to have such an exceptional attorney who is passionate about UVU's vision and mission in this leadership role."

Collings earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he graduated with high honors. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Brigham Young University.
