SCULPT funds requests for up to $1000 for materials needed to implement research and inquiry-based learning in the classroom. To apply, please send a one-page proposal via email to sculpt@uvu.edu with the following information:

• A clear statement of the problem and need for funding.
• A description of the project concept that shows how the proposed project is aligned with SCULPT guidelines, priorities, and the UVU mission.
• A statement of how the grant will help UVU students and their mentors achieve their goals.
• Provide an accurate budget of expenses that meet the minigrant requirements.

Minigrant funds are intended to facilitate student research and other creative work in or out of the classroom. Students who wish to request funds should do so through a faculty mentor. Minigrants can only be used to purchase items through UVU Marketplace.

 

SCULPT is happy to partner in funding those projects which move the inquiry of research forward.

Multiple $500 travel mini-grants may be awarded for travel, registration and lodging expenses. If approved, your Chair will receive a request to sign the approval letter.
