SMS and Voice Phishing (Vishing)

Criminals are now actively leveraging SMS and phone calls. These attempts involve impersonating trusted entities, often prompting immediate action. Exercise caution when encountering unsolicited messages or calls seeking personal or financial details.

How Do I Report an Incident?

The best action to help stop these criminals is to report the sender by forwarding the texts to 7726 (or "SPAM"). You'll get a response from your cell carrier asking for additional information, and the carrier will begin an investigation and the process of blocking the sender.

More information is available at the FCC website.
