The primary goal was to promote UIMF and educate students and attendees about the organization's advocacy for the United Nations' Sustainable Development Agenda. Additionally, it highlights how UVU’s Student-Engaged Learning model fosters hands-on involvement in community-based service projects, providing valuable volunteer opportunities, real-world experience and skills to raise funds.

Volunteering and participating in the Spring Semester Club Rush, uses UVU’s student-engaged learning model by taking an active role in communicating and promoting UIMF’s sustainable development initiatives to the students and attendees. This gave me hands-on experience in contributing to community-based initiatives.

Participating in an event like this provided me with valuable experience in educating students about the mission of UIMF and the significant community-based service initiatives that the organization supports. I had the opportunity to actively engage with attendees, sharing how UIMF contributes to the broader goals of sustainability and student-led advocacy. Additionally, I was grateful for the opportunity to collaborate closely with the UIMF president, which allowed me to develop a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie. Together, we worked toward promoting the organization, fostering a shared sense of purpose, and enhancing the visibility of UIMF’s important work.
