Concurrent Enrollment and Economics Competition: For High School Students

The Economic Concurrent Enrollment Competition at Utah Valley University (UVU) offers students an exciting opportunity to put their economic knowledge into action. Designed for high school students enrolled in Concurrent Enrollment Economics courses, this competition challenges participants in writing, case studies, and the fast-paced Quiz Ball showdown, testing their ability to analyze real-world economic issues and think critically under pressure.

In addition to offering students the chance to engage in a rigorous competition, this event serves as a first step toward future success in economics, finance, and business. By participating, students develop essential critical thinking skills, gain practical experience, and explore career pathways in applied economic study and related fields. The competition also provides insight into UVU’s Finance and Economics programs, including the Applied Economics minor, which equips students with the analytical expertise needed to navigate today’s dynamic economy.

With support from UVU’s Woodbury School of Business in tandem with the Concurrent Enrollment program, students benefit from faculty mentorship, practical learning opportunities, and meaningful academic engagement. Whether you're looking to enhance your skills, expand your professional network, or explore further studies in economics, this competition is the perfect way to take your economic acumen to the next level.
