Guy Woodbury is the Senior Vice President of Hospitality and a Director for Woodbury Corporation, one of the oldest and most respected full-service real estate development companies in the Intermountain West. Woodbury Corporation, which was started by Guy’s grandfather, will celebrate its 100thanniversary in 2019. Guy has worked 29 years in the hospitality industry overseeing the development and management of Woodbury Corporation’s hotels. He is passionate about creating successful hotels through partnering with strong brands and developing quality product in dynamic locations. Guy’s keys to success in management have been through hiring the right people, fostering an enjoyable and healthy work environment, aggressively marketing, and implementing prudent financial controls.

Guy has served for many years with Visit Salt Lake as a Trustee, on its’ Executive Committee, and as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He is a member of the Utah State Bar Association. Mr. Woodbury graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in marketing, earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he was an Austin Scholar, and earned a JD from the University of California at Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.  Since its inception, Guy has headed up the selection committee for the Woodbury Scholarship, which is awarded to top UVU Woodbury School of Business students.  Guy served an LDS Mission in Fiji and has a great love for the South Pacific and its people.  He and his wonderful wife of 34 years, Carie, are the proud parents of three outstanding boys and daughters-in-law, and have 6 delightful grandchildren.

Jeremy Andrus is the President & CEO of Traeger Wood Fired Grills. He joined Traeger in 2014 and acquired the business with Trilantic Capital Partners in July of that year. From 2005 to 2013, Jeremy served as President & CEO of Skullcandy, where he helped grow annual sales from less than $1 million to nearly $300 million. Earlier in his career, Jeremy was Director of Strategic Planning and Acquisitions for Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants Group and a consultant at Monitor Company.

Currently, Jeremy is a board member at Wilson Electronics, PurePredictive, and TrueGreece and serves on the investment committees for Kickstart Seed Fund and University Venture Fund. He also volunteers with the International Rescue Committee and Break Through Soccer. Jeremy received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.A. from Brigham Young University. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife Kristin and their six children.

Mitt Romney is running to represent the people of Utah in the U.S. Senate. He was the 2012 Republican nominee for President of the United States. He was also a candidate for the 2008 Republican presidential nomination and served as the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 2003 through 2007. 

Prior to his time as Governor, he led the 2002 Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympics and, with a team of volunteers and managers, helped turn the struggling Games into a Utah success story. 

Romney was the co-founder of Bain Capital, a leading investment company, and the turnaround CEO of Bain & Company, an international management consulting firm. Romney currently serves in both corporate and charitable organizations including Marriott International, Solamere Capital, CharityVision of Salt Lake City and the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Research. 

Romney earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his JD and MBA from Harvard University. He is the proud husband to Ann Romney, father to five sons, and grandfather to twenty-four grandchildren. He and Ann reside in Holladay, Utah and celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this year.

Today, the Smiths own and operate Kneaders Bakery & Café, R&R BBQ, Swig, MoBettah’s Hawaiian Style, and Little Caesars restaurants.  Since 2008, the Smiths have developed and constructed over $200M in restaurant real estate, opened and acquired 165 restaurants and currently employ over 5,500 employees in 12 states. Four Foods Group celebrates their 10-year anniversary this year while at the same time surpassing $190,000,000 in revenue. Andrew & Shauna live in Highland UT and have two boys, Christian (18) and Tobin (13).

Before merging with global real estate giant Colliers International, Brandon was co-founder and owner of Coldwell Banker Commercial Advisors, where he led the entire brand globally and grew his firm to 30 offices in 10 states with nearly 600 professionals.

In addition to leading the commercial real estate market, Fugal has launched a number of technology companies including Cypher Corporation (sold to Cirrus Logic, NASDAQ: CRUS) and Axcend, and has been actively involved on the Utah Valley University Foundation Board, Utah National Parks Council Executive Board, Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce Board and Ancient Historical Research Foundation (AHRF). Fugal has also been recognized as Utah Valley Business Executive of the Year, Real Estate Forum’s Top 40 under Forty and a Top National Dealmaker.

David Canter is executive vice president and head of the registered investment advisor (RIA) segment for Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions. In his role, he is responsible for the growth and retention of the RIAs and recordkeepers on Fidelity’s platform. David leads a team of hundreds of associates who provide RIAs access to a flexible, open-technology environment, extensive practice management resources, wealth management investments and related execution and custody services. David joined Fidelity in 2009, and prior to his current role, served as executive vice president of practice management and consulting for Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions.

Mr. Canter received his bachelor of arts degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin in 1990 and his juris doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1993. He currently holds his FINRA Series 24 license and is a member of the State Bar of California.

Joe is passionate about empowering PEOPLE and BUSINESSES and he has helped build 7 companies in various industries ranging from education to consumer products. He is the former President of Owlet Baby Care, Inc, a world leader in infant health monitoring. Previous to Owlet Baby Care, Mr. Atkin was the Chairman and CEO of GOAL ZERO, the world leader in portable solar products, since joining the company at inception in 2009. He successfully grew revenues from $0 to nearly $40M in 4 years and led the sale of the company in 2014 to NRG Energy (NYSE: NRG). Prior to joining GOAL ZERO, Mr. Atkin worked for Sorenson Capital, a $700M private equity firm located in Utah. His responsibilities at Sorenson Capital included various strategic consulting and operational projects with portfolio companies. One of those companies was the #1 LAP-BAND surgery network, American Institute of Gastric Banding, where he served as Vice President of Marketing and oversaw the launch of a successful new brand and multi-million dollar direct response marketing campaign.

Mr. Atkin is an experienced entrepreneur, having worked in various industries such as Private Equity, Investment Banking, Real Estate, Education, Healthcare, Retail, and Consumer Products. He is multilingual and has many years of international work experience in Chile, Costa Rica, and Austria. Mr. Atkin has performed strategic consulting projects for Black & Decker and Intel. He has served as a CEO, President, CFO and VP of Marketing for several businesses ranging from $1 to $70 million in revenue and has raised over $500 million in equity.

Mr. Atkin received a Master of Business Administration and a B.S. in Economics from Brigham Young University. He is married to Jamie Atkin and they have four children, ages 4 to 10.

Amy Rees Anderson is the Founder and Managing Partner of REES Capital, an Angel Investing Firm.  Amy is also an author and serves as a contributor to Forbes and the Huffington Post.  She is currently serving on 13 Boards.

Prior to founding REES Capital, Amy was the CEO of MediConnect Global, a company she grew and sold in 2012 for over $377 million. 

After selling MediConnect, she founded the IPOP Foundation, a charity focused on promoting entrepreneurship as a pathway to self-reliance.

Amy has been the recipient of a number of awards, which include being named CEO of the Year and receiving the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.  She has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Inc Magazine, Businessweek and many other national publications as a result of her many accomplishments, and in 2015 Amy received an honorary PhD.

Nathan serves on Savage Companies Board of Directors and as Executive Vice President and Group Leader for the Oil & Gas Solutions Group. Nathan joined Savage in 1995 and served in Operations, Finance, Business Development and most recently as Leader for the Corporate Development and Refinery Solutions Groups. Savage is a Supply Chain Solutions Company with over 250 locations across North America and the Middle East.

Before joining Savage, Nathan worked with a venture capital group as Operations Manager for a wireless telecommunications company.

Nathan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from West Virginia University. In his free time, Nathan enjoys outdoor recreation with his family. Nathan and his wife Shannon have four daughters and three grandchildren and reside in Draper, Utah.

Arthur joined Woodbury Corporation in April 2012.  He is Managing Director of the Woodbury Capital funds ($173 million in equity commitments) and oversees asset management for the Woodbury Strategic Partners Fund ($141 million of equity commitments).  He is also part of the leadership team directing the redevelopment of University Place in Orem.  Prior to joining Woodbury Corporation, Arthur spent four years working in the Real Estate Private Equity teams at the Blackstone Group (BREDS) and with Goldman Sachs (REPIA) in London where he participated on transactions totaling more than $6 billion.  Arthur has a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania with a minor in Urban Real Estate Development in conjunction with the Wharton School and a Masters in Finance and Strategy from l’Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po).
