About the Symposium

This symposium is designed for leaders who are shaping what comes next. In just a few hours, you will:

  • Share insights on current and future AI workforce needs in Utah and beyond
  • Help guide UVU’s response through both credit and non-credit programming
  • Strengthen collaboration between business, education, and community partners
  • Connect with peers who are leading the AI conversation in the region

All participants will receive a Summary of Findings report with curated data from the event.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive?

Check-in opens at 8:30 AM, and the program will begin promptly at 9 AM. We recommend arriving early to grab coffee, network, and get settled. 

Will meals or refreshments be provided?

A light morning refreshment and carefully curated, intentionally designed lunch will be provided.

What dietary restrictions will be accommodated? 

There will be gluten free, dairy freeand vegetarian options available. 

Will there be Wi-Fi at the venue?

Yes. You will see signs with the information for guest Wi-Fi 

Is the event accessible for people with disabilities? 

Yes. We will be utilizing multiple levels of our Lehi campusand all rooms/levels are fully accessible. 

Will there be opportunities for networking? 

Not only will there be opportunities, networking is highly encouraged.  

What will security be for the event? 

In light of recent events, there is increased security presence on UVU campus, including our Lehi location.

What are the "Research Groups"? How do they function? 

Research Groups are dynamic, cross-sector teams designed to explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping workforce demands. With the intention to bridge the gap between education and employment by identifying the AI-related skills, mindsets, and competencies that employers will need now and in the future.

What is a "Future Forecasting Case Study"?  

Groups will be given structured prompts to create a group narrative envisioning a future scenario. 

How will the information gathered at the event be translated into actionable data? 

A summary report of findings and recommendations will be prepared by Workforce Alignment and shared with all attendees following the event.
