Over the past year, the Workforce Alignment team at Utah Valley University, under the direction of the Workforce Executive Committee, has convened representatives from academic programs, administrative units, student leadership, and operational departments across the university in a structured series of stakeholder strategy sessions in order to develop shared definitions and language, identify existing touchpoints, and create a unified institutional strategy
These sessions, along with regional and state workforce data, alumni surveys, and state system priorities and initiatives, have shaped a comprehensive, coordinated approach to workforce preparation — one that reflects the full breadth of institutional expertise and will position UVU to respond deliberately and cohesively to the evolving demands of the workforce landscape.
On August 31, 2026, the working draft will be presented to the campus community, opening a one-week comment period for all stakeholders. On September 15th, a revised draft will be sent to the UVU Workforce Alignment Council for review. The final version will be approved by the Workforce Executive Committee and published here.
