About: In this internship, your will be doing production work for many of our Family Support Service programs including Expressive Therapies, Rainbow Kids, and School Services. Production work will include pre and post production of our current internal television programs, podcasts, concerts, and any content you want to create for patients and families that is approved by Primary Children’s Hospital. To be successful at this internship you will need to have a passion in audio and video production and in helping children heal. This will require creativity and applying knowledge you have gained through school.

Responsibilities and Duties: Set up audio/video equipment correctly. Use and work audio mixers and microphones to pick up consistent, clean, and intelligible audio. Use video mixers and cameras to pick up consistent, smooth, professional quality video. Use Pro Tools, Vegas, and Garage Band to record and edit content at a professional level. Use video editing software to edit video in post-production.

Qualifications: Must be enrolled in the UVU internship Course. Must have taken or be currently enrolled in Audio Essentials and Sound for Film and Television. Must be personable to patients (children) and families at the hospital. Must be team oriented and able to work on large projects with a team.

Preferred Skills: Must be able to prioritize and organize tasks in a timely manner. Ability to meet deadlines for clients with a very quick turnaround. Must be able to work independently and problem solve. Familiarity with Microsoft and Google applications. Geographical knowledge of the State of Utah and the creative ability to match Utah locations with a production’s visual needs. General understanding of the film industry with regard to local, state and federal film permitting processes. Ability to scout/locate, photograph, edit and upload location photos. Be licensed to drive in the state of Utah.
