UVU students will join with students from KAPS (Kosovo Academy for Public Safety) in exploring topics comparing disaster response systems and approaches to homeland security in the United States and abroad. Following morning classes, students will spend their afternoons and evenings visiting with local officials and experiencing local historical and cultural sites. On the weekend students may choose to take tours of neighboring Balkan countries - Greece, Albania, Macedonia (Tour 1) and Bosnia, Croatia, and Montenegro (Tour 2).

*University Advanced Standing - 24 credits completed, GPA 2.0 or higher MAT 1030 and ENGL 2010 or equivalent.
Must be 18 years of age at the time of departure
Minimum G.P.A.: 2.0
Physical requirements: Significant daily walking and working with groups of people. Outdoor activities.
All UVU study abroad students must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Students may be required to test negative for COVID-19 at their own expense by host countries as a condition for entry.

Fee Covers in-country housing, most in-country transportation, some meals, entrance fees into sites, and international insurance.

Students should be prepared to pay out-of-pocket for possible COVID tests or quarantine stays if required by the host country for entry or exit.
All students are required to pay a $75 non-refundable application fee.
