We have narrowed down our student council to four outstanding ESL students. This group is driven to plan activities, work with ESL students, and enhance the experience of our international students. See below to know more about our members.

Maliny Soukkhaphonh (first):
My name is Maliny, currently studying ESL level four. I completed my bachelor degree in China, Jinan University majoring in Chinese Language. Throughout my studies in China, I participated in many activities at the university. Someday, I want to study interior design because it has always been my passion.

Kyzym Valentyna Andreevna (second):
My full name is Kyzym Valentyna Andreevna, I’m 18 years old. I’m from Ukraine, a small town Bila Tserkva near the capital of Ukraine. I like to be active and engage in something new every day, most of all I love art. I came to America to receive the best education.

Cathy Chao (third):
My name is Cathy Chao. I’m from Taiwan. I studied auto in high school and joined many competitions about it. I was in Utah last year for two weeks, that’s when I decided to study here.

Chun-Shan Liu (fourth photo):
My name is Chun-Shan, Liu, also known as Jerry. I am from Taipei, Taiwan and I am 19 years old. I am easy going but hard working. I have an older brother and a younger sister. I graduated from Nangang Vocational High School. I was in the department of Mechanical Engineering and my favorite subjects were English and math. I am interested in following the latest technology. If I graduate from the ESL program, I want to major in electrical automation. I also hope to be an automation engineer in a big company.
