Christian Ramos
My name is Cristian Ramos. I from Bolivia and I am 30 years old. I was born in the city of Santa Cruz; Bolivia. I studied environmental engineering in my country and I finished my studies in December 2009. I worked in the petroleum industry for five years. Now I’m currently enrolled in the ESL program at UVU to fulfill my dream of learning English. After finishing my English studies, I plan to study a master’s degree related with my field of study. After finishing my master’s degree, I would like to teach at a university in my country. In my free time, I like to go to the gym, read books, ride my bike, and visit new places. Finally, I would like to say that studying at UVU is a dream becoming true because it offers me the opportunity to be a student again, and I have no doubt that being part of the student council will enrich my personal experience as a student.
Gauthier Tshibanda
I’m Prince, I was born in Lubumbashi, D.R. Congo. I love playing soccer, reading books, and seeking new things in science. Those are some of my favorites. I’m in level 5 right now. After the ESL program, I’m planning to study nursing here at UVU and after that, medicine at a different university. I like to laugh and make people laugh.
Karen Marin Quinones
My name is Karen Marin. I’m from Yucatan, Mexico. I’m a student at UVU. I study English language. I graduated from college in 2012. I have a degree in nutrition. I also served a mission in Mexico City North was one of the best experiences in my life. My goals are to speak English fluently and to study another degree here in Utah. I love to help other people and to learn new things. I really have learned that challenges are the only way to progress in this life. For that reason I like to challenge myself every day.
Steven Perez Midence
My name is Steven, I'm from Honduras. I was born in August 29th 1995. I'm studying English right now, After that i will study computer engineering. I have been here in the U.S. for almost 6 months. I love learning about other cultures; I also like to play soccer, reading, hiking, playing basketball, singing, playing guitar and have fun.
