ECC Club Rush/Service Fail

As part of our ELL Department the English Conversation Club has an opportunity to participate in UVU's Service Fair and Club Rush each semester. Fall 2017 was no exception. A little bit about what's called English Conversation Club. Originally organized and created by Heidi Condie, the English Conversation Club quickly became a very important part of the program. The main goal and the purpose of this club is to help our international students to improve their spoken language as well as integrate into UVU community. Not only is it beneficial for the students in our program, but it also provides UVU students, who are interested in learning and improving other languages, opportunities to expand their education. One of the conveniences we have, is our schedule; it is as flexible as it can be. After students are assigned their conversation partners, they are able to create their own schedule. All they are required to do is to meet once a week and have a conversation in English. Definitely, it has more benefits than effort. All together it makes our club one of the most popular on campus. Such events as Club Rush and Service fair are very important, simply because they help to recruit more students.
