About UVU Emergency Medical Services
Established in January 2012, Utah Valley University Emergency Medical Services (UVU EMS) was created to provide essential emergency medical care on UVU’s main campus. As a Utah state-licensed Basic Life Support (BLS) Quick Response Provider, UVU EMS plays a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
The team is composed of dedicated UVU student volunteers who hold current Utah EMS certifications, including EMT, Advanced EMT, and Paramedic levels operating at a BLS level of care.
