The Center for the Study of Ethics is pleased to host its thirty-third annual Ethics Awareness Week from September 21 - September 25, 2025. Our focus this year will be oriented around the theme of "Intellectual Virtues."
Intellectual virtues are the qualities that make us good thinkers and knowers. They include traits such as curiosity, humility, open-mindedness, and attentiveness. Intellectual virtues are implicated in higher education's ethical obligations to students and to society.
Sessions will include panel discussions, lectures, and workshops. As always, the event is free and open to the public and hosted in the UVU Clarke Building, Room 511 and online via YouTube Live. For more information about our ethics programming, you can visit the Ethics Center website or contact us at [email protected].

Luncheon for invited guests
Rachelle began her career advocating for crime victims in 1999 and has since directly assisted more than 3,000 individuals impacted by crime, helping them access critical support, services, and resources. Her advocacy extends beyond direct service through leadership and participation in local and statewide committees and coalitions, including the Utah Domestic Violence Coalition, SWAVO (Statewide Advocates for Victim Organizations), the 3rd District Victims' Rights Committee, and the Utah Sentencing Commission.
Rachelle currently serves as an Assistant with the Victim Services Commission within the Utah Department of Criminal Justice, where she works to elevate victim services and ensure meaningful change is shaped by those most impacted. Previously, she served as the Training Coordinator for the Utah Office for Victims of Crime and as Victim Services Coordinator for West Valley City. With more than two decades of experience, Rachelle remains a tireless advocate for the rights, voices, and well-being of crime victims throughout Utah and beyond.
