When Will my Financial Aid Be Disbursed?

Financial aid disbursements at UVU begin during the first week of your classes, based on your individual enrollment start date, as long as all eligibility requirements are met and there are no outstanding tasks in your myUVU portal.

To avoid delays in receiving your financial aid, make sure there are no outstanding tasks in your myUVU portal. You can check your financial aid status by:

  • Navigating through myUVU → Paying for My Education → Financial Aid, or
  • Clicking the button below to go directly to your dashboard:

My Financial Aid

Aid is applied directly to your student account to cover tuition, fees, and other eligible charges. Once your aid is disbursed, any remaining balance may be refunded to you.

Refund Processing

Refunds are distributed in one of two ways:

1. Direct Deposit

Funds are sent to the bank account you designate. Once the refund (REF) transaction appears on your student account, you can expect the deposit to arrive within 2–3 business days.

To set up direct deposit or review UVU’s refund policy, visit Refunds & Remainder Checks

2. Paper Check

If you haven’t set up direct deposit, your refund will be issued as a paper check and mailed to your local address on record with UVU.

To update your address:

  1. Log in to myUVU
  2. Click the gear icon next to your name (top left)
  3. Scroll to Personal Information
  4. Update your Local Address
