Beadology makes it fun and easy to create something personal, whether you’re a beginner or a more experienced jewelry maker. With high-quality materials, guided workshops, and welcoming spaces in Provo and Draper, it offers a hands-on, creative experience that’s a step above your average craft store.
A record-breaking UVU pole vaulter turned entrepreneur, Maysen Rollo Minor discovered her passion for business in a UVU entrepreneurship class. She began with a single tube of beads and an Instagram account, selling handmade rings to classmates. Encouraged by faculty, the Chelsea and Casey Baugh Entrepreneurship Institute, and a supportive campus community, Maysen launched Beadology, a joyful, hands-on jewelry-making experience that brings people together through creativity.
“Being a student and starting a business has such a great advantage, because there are hundreds of people who are there to help you and there to cheer you on. I felt like I knew everybody in the Entrepreneurship Institute … It was always positive and just like, ‘We’re gonna figure out this, and we’re gonna make a plan that makes sense, and that’s gonna get you to the next step.’ I still feel like I’m very involved with UVU, even being an alumni.”
