Frequently asked Questions

Why are we doing this?

Why are we moving away from our current system?

We’re moving to Pathify to make myUVU and the mobile app easier to use, more consistent, and more personalized. Right now, the mobile app and myUVU are two separate systems, which can sometimes lead to confusion and an uneven experience. With Pathify, both platforms will live in the same system, so what you see on desktop will match what you see on mobile.

This change also allows us to customize your experience so that the information, tools, and resources you see are more relevant to you. Instead of everyone seeing the same content, your dashboard can better reflect your role and needs.

Overall, this update is about improving the digital experience across campus — making things easier to find, easier to use, and more flexible. You may notice some visual changes, but we’re keeping the core tools and features you rely on, just in a cleaner and more modern layout.

What problems does Pathify solve that the old platform couldn't?

Our current system shows mostly the same content to everyone, even though students, staff, and faculty all have different needs. Pathify allows us to personalize content so you can quickly see what matters most to you.

It also combines the mobile app and desktop experience into one unified system. This means you’ll get a more consistent experience no matter how you access myUVU.

Another big improvement is that employees will now be able to use the mobile app as well, making it easier to stay connected to campus tools, messages, and updates on the go.

Is this replacing myUVU, the mobile app, or both?

In short — yes, this change will eventually replace both our current mobile app and myUVU, bringing them together into one platform.

The current mobile app will be rebranded as myUVU, so the name and experience are consistent across devices. These updates will happen in phases:

  • Mobile app update: End of April 2026
  • myUVU desktop update: Fall 2026 semester

Rolling this out in stages allows us to make improvements, gather feedback, and ensure a smooth transition.

Will this change how I access campus tools and resources?

All of your campus tools and resources will still be available in the new system. Some items may be in slightly different locations, but we’re working carefully to make navigation clear and intuitive.

Our goal is to make it easier to find what you need, reduce clutter, and improve the overall experience — not to take anything away.
