NURS 4325: Nursing in the Community Clinical
This class must be taken concurrently with NURS 4320; both classes are online. NURS 4325 Nursing in the Community Clinical requires 45 hours of community service, which may include working in a community-based nursing setting, engaging in a community teaching project, and providing community service of the student's choice with instructor approval. These clinical hours must be completed while registered for NURS 4320 & 4325, not before or after.
This program is for currently licensed RNs who would like to earn their BSN degree. ASN-prepared nurses are encouraged to apply to UVU early so all transfer credits can be evaluated before the UVU Department of Nursing application deadlines listed below:
When you apply will determine the semester you can begin the program. Students must apply to both UVU and the RN-BSN program by the dates listed above.
Please review the BSN application information and the BSN degree map for detailed information. Additionally, keep in mind this program is rigorous and time intensive. If you plan to work while enrolled, your work schedule will need to accommodate your nursing studies.
UVU Online provides a top-quality education for in-state and out-of-state students:
Fully online undergraduate students residing within the state of Utah while attending classes pay the same tuition rates as students attending in-person classes, as determined by their residency designation.
Fully online undergraduate students residing outside of the state of Utah while attending classes pay a flat tuition rate of $270 per credit.
(Must be residing within the United States. Non U.S. citizens residing internationally do not qualify for the flat tuition rate.)
UVU offers Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) to help students earn college credit for skills and knowledge they already have from work, training, or past education. This process recognizes prior learning and helps make college more affordable and accessible. Students complete an assessment to demonstrate their knowledge before credit is awarded. CPL saves time and money by matching real‑world experience to UVU college classes.
UVU's commitment to providing accessible and high-quality online education has earned it national recognition from respected publications. With a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, UVU offers students the flexibility they need to pursue their educational goals wherever they are!
