Databases and Search Engines

Free Services

UVU has retained several proprietary databases for the purpose of grant research by UVU personnel:

  • Grants.gov - lists all the currently open federal grants and provides access to their solutions.

 

Subscription Services

  • SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) - Lists funding opportunities from both government agencies and private foundations. The SPIN website can be accessed automatically while on UVU’s campus. If plan to search while off-campus, contact us for password information.
  • AASCU/GRC (Grants Resource Center) – Provides notices about grant opportunities specific to public colleges and Universities. (Please contact us for user ID and password.)
  • Foundation Search Comprehensive fundraising information on non-profits and charities. (Please make an appointment with the OSP Program Director of Contracts and Foundation Grants.)
  • GrantWatch - A secure search and listing directory of available Federal, State, Foundation & Corporation grants that are accepting grant applications. (Please make an appointment with the OSP Program Director of Contracts and Foundation Grants.)

 

 

Application

If you or your department intend to apply for a grant, please fill out the Notification of Intent to Submit and submit it to the Office of Sponsored Programs, BA 110, before you begin preparing a proposal. This will enable us to both coordinate and consolidate grant writing efforts across campus.
