Schools, colleges, and vocational programs within the Mountainland Region equip students with essential knowledge and skills. Educational programs provide a sound and solid foundation for all careers and Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, bridge the gap between academics and real-world expertise. These programs empower students to pursue high-wage, high-skill career pathways, addressing the critical need for skilled employees in all industries.

Timeline of Evolution of MTECH and UVU Relationship

1941: Central Utah Vocational School is founded

1989: Mountainland Applied Technology Center founded as a part of Utah Valley Community College

2002: Mountainland Applied Technology Center splits from UVU and becomes a separate trade school

2008: Status granted as Utah Valley University

2016: The first articulation agreements between MTech and UVU are signed

2019: UVU and MTech create articulations for culinary arts, nursing, automotive, and web development

2023: MTech LPN graduates are officially guaranteed spots in UVU nursing programs

2023: UVU and MTech create articulations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and welding apprenticeships

2024: UVU partners with Rocky Mountain University to create a pathway for Occupational Therapists
