About the Program

Our hybrid Elementary Teacher Preparation Program is designed to support preservice teachers in developing the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in today's classrooms. This flexible format combines online coursework with in-person collaborative sessions on the UVU Wasatch Campus, allowing you to benefit from both convenience and face-to-face connection.

Collaborative Learning

Attend regularly scheduled in-person sessions on campus for group discussions, lesson planning, and interactive activities with your cohort. Between sessions, complete online coursework independently at your own pace. If you're unable to attend an in-person session, you'll have the option to join virtually or complete the collaborative experience with a partner on your own schedule.

Flexible Scheduling

Most coursework is accessible online, allowing you to manage your learning around your personal and professional commitments for the first three semesters of the program, while benefiting from periodic on-campus meetings with peers and instructors.

Classroom Experience

Gain hands-on experience through a 45-hour elementary classroom placement, scheduled at your convenience throughout each of the first three semesters in the program. This placement provides valuable opportunities to apply your learning in a real-world setting.
