What:

The Graduation Distinction in Undergraduate Research and Creative Works aims to recognize students who have completed advanced scholarly or creative endeavors above and beyond the requirements for a university degree through independent effort.

Who:

Currently, students who are pursuing research in the departments of Biology and Physics are eligible for this distinction. See the specific departmental guidelines below. Other departments are working towards this as well. Contact your department Chair!

Why:

How to earn the distinction:

Read the Student Guidelines document and go over the criteria for your department.  

  1. Find a research advisor
  2. Fill out the Declaration of Intent Form
  3. Complete the coursework

  4. Submit a research proposal
  5. Complete the research

  6. Present your research

  7. Submit application by deadline leading up to your graduation
