Classes are free for all SLWC members, and day passes and punch passes are available for nonmembers. Our programs, activities, and services are open to all students.

Our Certified Fitness Instructors or Personal Trainers can come to your organization, department meeting, or special event. You can schedule to have a class or team training session for your special event below. One week notice minium for booking.

SLWC equipment that is mobile such as yoga mats, exercise bands, or gliding disks can be rented out for events around campus.
Cost: 1-20 items-$10 per hour
21+ items-$20 per hour
Quantity available will fluctuate and be determined by date and time requested and the equipment needs in the gym at that time.
All requests must be made 48 hours prior to event date to be considered.

Jiu-Jitsu is a martial arts class focused on ground fighting and submission techniques, rooted in the principles of leverage and technique over strength. Suitable for all skill levels, this class teaches participants how to defend themselves by effectively controlling and subduing opponents through joint locks, chokeholds, and positional strategies. Jiu-Jitsu emphasizes problem-solving under pressure, making it not only a physical workout but also a mental challenge.
Coming back on the schedule Spring Semester
Step It is a high-energy cardio and weights fitness class that uses an elevated platform, or "step," to create a dynamic workout. Participants perform choreographed routines that involve stepping up, down, and around the platform, often to upbeat music that keeps the pace lively and engaging. The class focuses on improving cardiovascular endurance, coordination, and lower and upper body strength, with movements that target the legs, glutes, and core.
