This web page shows the Human Development Index (HDI), the Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI), and the Gender Development Index (GDI) for Utah counties for 2014 and 2019. These indices are based on the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) methodology. The four components used to calculate the indices are posted as well: life expectancy, average years of schooling, expected years of schooling, and income. Our goal is to provide well-being indicators for the analysis of the Utah economy at the county level that go beyond the GDP's performance.
