Meet with your Academic Advisor
Your degree requirements may have changed while you were gone, it is always important to meet with your academic advisor upon your return to make sure you are still taking the right classes to help you graduate when you intend to.
Register for Classes
Registration opens before the semester starts, so you may register for your first semester back months before you return. Visit the Schedule website to check when registration opens for your anticipated date of return.
Apply for Returning Wolverine Scholarships
There are lots of scholarships available to UVU students and some are even specific to returning students like yourself. Find scholarships for returning students on ScholarshipUniverse.
Meet with the Returning Student Coordinator
Not sure what has changed since you left? Don’t know what resources are available to you now? Our Returning Student Coordinator will provide you with specialized support and resources based on your needs as you return to UVU.
If you are returning when you indicated on your Leave of Absence form, your scholarships will be available for you upon your return. Note that some scholarships are not eligible for deferment, so not all of your scholarships may be reinstated.
If you intend to come back earlier or later than the semester you have deferred your scholarship to, you will need to contact Financial Aid to view or change the availability status of your scholarship.
The Returning Wolverine Program assists students who have taken a break from UVU and are returning to complete their bachelor’s degree. This need-based program provides financial assistance and coaching support to help students return successfully and stay on track.
In this program, you will receive a tuition waiver and a success coach to help you complete your degree. You can apply for the Returning Wolverine Program even if you have already returned from your break.
Returning Wolverine ProgramIf you have been gone for longer than 7 semesters (including the summer semester), you will need to reapply to university before you can register for classes again. If you do not remember your admissions login from your original application, you can create a new account and it will be linked to your old one.
