Getting to & from Campus

  • Plan your UTA trip using the Transit App or by selecting public transit when looking up directions on Google Maps.
  • Get free UTA passes for your spouse & dependents at Campus Connection.
  • Use the bicycle option when looking up directions on Google Maps to plan a safe cycling route.
  • Swing by the Outdoor Adventure Center for a bicycle tune-up or quick repair.
  • Carpool with friends or roommates if where you live isn’t served by transit and is too far away to bike or walk.

Energy

  • Unplug electronics you aren't using.
  • Change incandescent light bulbs to higher efficiency LEDs.
  • Adjust your thermostat to 78°F in the summer and to 68°F in the winter.
  • Air-dry dishes & laundry or dry at lowest temperature setting.

Water

Waste

  • Use a refillable water bottle rather than a disposable one.
  • Learn what is recycled in your community & at UVU and recycle it!
  • If you live in an apartment that doesn’t offer recycling, you can often take your recycling to a public drop off bin. (City of Orem drop off bins (glass only), City of Provo drop off bins)
  • Reduce junk mail by opting out of unwanted mailing lists.
  • Go shopping with reusable bags.
