Fantastic Creatures Adventure, rising 3rd-5th grades (Age 8-10*)

What fantastic creatures remain hidden from our world, or may have disappeared? Become a creature explorer while learning about unique, endangered, and possibly magical beasts using movement, drama, and art. Includes a Friday showcase.

Broadway Beginners: Student Voices, rising 6th-9th grades (Age 11-13*)

Explore musicals that feature students who learn to be brave, speak up, and discover their voices in their schools. Through energetic scenes and songs, build your singing, acting, and dancing skills while connecting with the characters you present. New performers are encouraged, and families and friends are invited to a fun final showcase.

WEEK TWO, JUNE 8-12

Space Journey, rising Kindergarten-2nd grades (Age 5-7*)

Discover what it would be like to journey into space, or imagine the life of a planet, moon, or star. Meet characters we picture in the constellations and use drama and art to explore a planet that is nothing like our own. Share what you’ve learned with family and friends at the end of the week.

Adventures in Creativity, rising 3rd-5th grades (Age 8-10*)

Have an out-of-this-world adventure as you build your own spaceship and rocket away from Earth as a space-faring character. Using drama and art, go where no human has gone before. Explore the planets and moons in the solar system and imagine what lies beyond. Includes a Friday showcase.

Explore musicals filled with child and adult characters, bold adventures, and boundless possibilities. Through scenes and songs, build your skills in singing, acting, and dancing while stepping into characters who dream big and make extraordinary journeys. New performers are encouraged, and families and friends are invited to a fun final showcase.

WEEK THREE, JUNE 16-19

Playwriting, rising 6th-12th grades (Age 11-17*)

Write character monologues and dialogues and build them into your own five-minute play. Hear your work presented in stage readings at the end of the week in a showcase for families and friends. And help brainstorm possibilities for the theatre camp’s 2027 youth play.

Puppetry, rising 6th-12th grades (Age 11-17*)

Learn how to tell stories with puppets through hands-on experiences. Create your own puppet and develop its personality as you improvise scenes. Prepare a puppet performance for family and friends at the end of the week. No strings attached!

WEEK FOUR, JUNE 22-26

Stage Combat, rising 6th-12th grades (Age 11-17*)

Want to learn how to fight on stage with your bare hands or with weapons? Learn the basics of performing stage combat and doing it safely and convincingly. Be mentored by an experienced stage combat choreographer and showcase your skills on the last day of class.

Storytelling, rising 6th-12th grades (Age 11-17*)

How do you tell a story well? What makes a good story? How do you connect with your listeners? Find answers as you develop your performance skills as a storyteller. Practice telling well-known tales and personal stories and present one in a showcase at the end of the week.

Junior Musical: *To Be Announced*, rising 6th-12th grades

(Age 11-17*)

June 1-5 and June 8-12, 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. | $365

Performances Fri. June 12 & Sat. June 13 @ 2:00pm and 5:00pm

We can't announce the show just yet, or the gods won't be happy with us...

Dive into a mythical world in this two-week musical production experience! Perform in this 60-minute version to explore big characters, make bold choices, and experience the ups and downs of adolescence, when you feel different from everyone else. Be taught and coached by UVU musical theatre teachers and students with daily rehearsals in singing, movement, and acting. Together the cast will create a polished, fully staged final performance for family and friends.

Tech Team, rising 6th-12th grades

(Age 11-17*)

June 1-5, 9:00a.m. – 12:00p.m.

June 8-12 9:00a.m. - 4:00p.m. | $210

Must be available for performances Fri. June 12 & Sat. June 13 @ 2:00pm and 5:00pm.
During the first week, explore prop-building, costuming, makeup, lighting, and scenic painting through the morning workshops. During the second week, become a backstage team member for the Junior Musical. Learn to create theatrical magic from behind the curtain.

Youth Play: Tellers of the Dawn, rising 6th-12th grades

(Age 11-17*)

Rehearsals June 16-19 and June 22-26, 1pm to 4pm

Performances June 26 at 2pm and 5pm | $210

Can three mysterious young people put their differences aside long enough to save the past and improve the future? In this original play by Time Mirrors playwright Drew Chappell, inspired by ideas from last year’s actors, three young people with different backgrounds, interests, and ideas travel to the past to reshape their futures. Landing in a small town in the middle of its own technological divide, can the three of them and those they encounter find a way forward for a world on the brink of chaos?

Summer Camp Scholarship

For those interested in applying for scholarships and concerned about registering without them, please don't be. You can register for camps and classes first through the button below and pay after scholarships have been determined if payment is still required. Please follow the steps below to register while waiting for a scholarship application to be approved. 

 

  1. Register your child for TYE Noorda Theatre Camp through the button below without paying.
  2. Call Community Education (801-863-8012) to notify them that you're applying for a scholarship. Your registration will be noted as pending.  
  3. As soon as possible, fill out the "Information and Application Document" at the link below. Send completed form to this email:

  1. Receive notification that scholarships have or have not been approved.
  2. Call Community Education to pay outstanding balance if needed (such as for junior musical camp or attending multiple classes/camps). If no payment is needed, a call still needs to be made to ensure that Community Education has confirmed your place in the summer camp. 

 

This process can be completed within one business day. We are working to refine this process.
