Thank you for your interest in TRIO Student Support Services (SSS). SSS is an application-based program with limited availability that serves students during the fall and spring semesters. Learn more about how to qualify for the SSS program and how to apply.

An independent student is one of the following:
A dependent student is under 24 years old and does not fit under any of the categories listed under independent student above. As such, the dependent student’s parent or legal guardian must sign the FAFSA documents of the student to verify Low-Income Status.
You may be asked to attend an interview to help us determine whether you are a good fit for the SSS program. If you have any questions, please contact Brady Curtis at [email protected]. Please check your UVU student email regularly for updates.
Upon acceptance into UVU’s TRIO SSS program, you will receive an acceptance email that outlines the following tasks:
Accepted students are also expected to meet with Brady Curtis at least once a semester (not including the CliftonStrengths meeting) to receive priority registration, interact and respond to their peer mentors, and come to TRIO hosted events as able.
Our offices are open Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Admin staff are available Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
