At UVU, we understand that student veteran mental health can be a significant barrier to meeting educational goals. The Veteran Success Center is dedicated to providing support and wellness programs for veteran students to help you succeed.

Veterans Crisis Line

Help is available for veterans and their loved ones. Call 988 and press 1, Text 838255 or, Chat online.

SafeUT

The SafeUT Crisis Text and Tip Line app provides 24/7 access to crisis counseling and school tip reporting for students and their parents and guardians that live in the state of Utah.  Call 833-372-3388, or Chat online.

VITAL

VA Mental Health programs available at UVU

Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) is a program that supports student veterans in higher education. We collaborate with UVU and the VA Medical Center to provide mental health education, referrals, and mentoring.

VITAL Services

  • On campus treatment for stress, anger, transition, adjustment, concentration, depression, anxiety, sleep problems and PTSD.
  • Collaboration with university accessibility services to request academic accommodations (hearing aids, screen-reader software, etc).
  • Assistance with enrollment and care at the VA Medical Center.
  • Help with resources from within the VA, including Veteran Benefits Administration and Veterans Readiness and Employment (VR&E).
  • Peer to peer mentoring and support from fellow student veterans.

VITAL will adhere to all privacy standards with respect and sensitivity.
