The UVU Wasatch Resort Management [WARM] Program offers a comprehensive resort management education that integrates rigorous academic study with real-world experience in managing a resort. Our curriculum deepens your understanding of resort management and operation, strengthens leadership skills in hospitality settings, and prepares you to effectively navigate resort management systems.

Fall Semester Junior Year

Students begin the junior year by building a strong business and hospitality foundation. Courses in statistics, business communication, accounting, hospitality foundations, and luxury customer experience help students strengthen analytical, professional, and service-focused skills while beginning their internship experience in a real resort setting.

Spring Semester Junior Year

During the spring semester, students deepen their understanding of the hospitality business through managerial accounting, industry analytics, and human resources. With an expanded internship component, this term helps students connect classroom learning with day-to-day resort operations and team management.

Summer Semester Junior Year

The summer semester gives students intensive, hands-on preparation in core resort functions. Coursework in managerial accounting, hotel operations, hospitality marketing, event venue and convention management, and a student-selected certificate course broadens operational knowledge while continued internship work strengthens practical industry experience.

Fall Semester Senior Year

In the fall of senior year, students focus on advanced topics that prepare them for leadership in hospitality and resort environments. Courses in hospitality law, finance, revenue management, and advanced hotel and tourism analytics help students develop the strategic and financial decision-making skills needed to manage complex resort operations.
