UVU is dedicated to the highest standards of ethical conduct.
The Utah Protection of Public Employees Act protects UVU employees from adverse action for reporting in good faith (1) waste or misuse of public funds, property, or manpower, (2) a violation of law, (3) or gross mismanagement, abuse of authority, or unethical conduct at UVU.
EthicsPoint is a third-party confidential internet and telephone-based reporting tool, with the option of anonymous reporting. EthicsPoint is managed by Internal Audit, who are independent of UVU’s management team. Internal Audit ensures resolution of all reports.
EthicsPoint can be used to report (1) waste or misuse of public funds, property, or manpower, (2) a violation of law, (3) or gross mismanagement, abuse of authority, or unethical conduct at UVU. This includes ethical, financial, accounting, auditing, and internal control concerns.
Please provide as many details, specific examples, and supporting documents as possible.
Every faculty, staff, and student is responsible for reporting unethical behavior to the appropriate supervisor, Campus Entity, compliance department, university officer, internal auditor, or through EthicsPoint. We encourage employees to bring concerns to their supervisor, People and Culture, or other campus entities as appropriate.
Resolutions are confidential and may not be communicated to the reporter.
Anonymous reports can hinder the ability to fully resolve reports. Please periodically log back into your report and answer follow-up questions.
