UVU Venue Policies

Check with your event details and ticketing details (if applicable) for information about bags and if metal detectors will be present for your event. 

UVU follows the Clear Bag Policy. Guests may bring in one (1) clear bag no larger than 12″ x 12″ x 6″ or a 1-gallon plastic storage bag. Guests are limited to one clear bag per person, along with a small clutch or purse for privacy.

Medically necessary items or diaper bags (child must be present) are allowed after inspection. 

                                                                                                    

A Crowd Manager is a trained professional responsible for the systematic planning and overall safety of an event by focusing on crowd dynamics and emergency preparedness. Their duties are primarily proactive, including assessing the venue for hazards, planning entry and exit flows, preventing overcrowding, ensuring all egress routes and exits remain clear, and coordinating a safe and orderly evacuation with emergency personnel if a crisis occurs. They often hold an oversight role, ensuring the event complies with fire and safety codes, and may train other general event staff on basic crowd management techniques.                                                                                      

Some events will require metal detector screening before entering. Please come prepared by following UVU's Bag Policy and emptying pockets in containers provided at the venue entry for quick screening.
