Utah Valley University Facilities Department responsibility is to provide a safe, clean, comfortable environment conducive to learning. This is to be accomplished through an adaptive and diverse support team of dedicated and well-trained professionals whose purpose is to meet the facilities needs of the college, its students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community.
Work requests are routine maintenance and repair services provided at no cost to departments. They include temperature adjustments, custodial work, and repairs to plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems. Structural maintenance such as painting and work on walls, floors, windows, doors, and exterior areas like roads and parking lots are also covered.
Submit a Work RequestService requests are required for any work beyond routine maintenance and typically involve a cost to the requesting department. Examples include cosmetic changes (such as accent walls), installing personal items in offices (e.g. whiteboards, bulletin boards, cabinets, etc.) adding proximity locks to doors, hanging non-personal items on walls, servicing departmental equipment not covered by general facilities maintenance.

Projects will be reviewed and, if approved, designed to ensure compliance with building code and university standards for construction.
Submit a Facilities Modification RequestReallocation of space assignments to departments, programs or individuals, changes in space utilization, alterations in the physical layout or appearance of space, alterations in room numbering, or changes in furnishings must be approved by the Executive Infrastructure and Planning Committee.
