Credit Reimbursement

Students who complete a class with a B-or better may apply for a waiver from the institutions sponsoring the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriting Designation (CPCU). The CPCU is nine courses, and students are allowed a maximum of two waivers.

Gamma Iota Sigma is the premier student organization for those interested in risk management and property-casualty insurance. Preparing for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter credentials

The Minor in Risk Management will help prepare students for possible Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) credentials. It focuses on risk management and insurance foundations, enterprise risk management, business law for insurance, commercial property risk management, insurance, and commercial liability risk management and insurance. In addition, students will achieve further distinction by complementing their demonstrated expertise in insurance issues with a mastery of general management principles finance, operations, and leadership.
