Medallions are a great way to visually represent your academic achievement. The front of the medallion is engraved with the official UVU seal. The medallion color (bronze, silver, or gold) correlates with the honors type.

UVU provides medallions for GPA-related Latin Honors (summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude). Cords and medallions are not available for dean’s list recipients.
Note: Master’s graduates do not qualify for honors medallions.
Academic honors medallions are available for graduates who meet the following criteria:
Graduated in summer 2025 or fall 2025, or applied to graduate in spring 2026
Receiving an associate or bachelor’s degree (Note that academic medallions are not awarded for master’s degrees or certificates)
Have at least a 3.6 cumulative GPA at the end of your graduation semester (spring 2026 applicants use GPA based on the fall 2025 semester)
Associate honors (silver): 3.60-3.79 cumulative GPA
Associate high honors (gold): 3.80-4.00 cumulative GPA
Bachelor’s degree cum laude (bronze): 3.60-3.79 cumulative GPA
Bachelor’s degree magna cum laude (silver): 3.80-3.89 cumulative GPA
Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude (gold): 3.90-4.00 cumulative GPA
Once your qualifications are verified through the Office of the Registrar, you may purchase your honors medallion at Grad Fest in March 2026 or at the UVU Store service desk after Grad Fest.
Domestic shipping: If you wish to have your honors medallion shipped, a fee of $9-$12 may apply, depending on the shipping location.
International shipping: If you need to ship your honors medallion internationally, the exact cost varies by destination and will be calculated after purchase.

4Select Transcript Level Undergraduate and Unofficial.
5Your Unofficial Academic Transcript will be displayed
If your summer 2025 or fall 2025 degree has been awarded, any honors will be listed at the top of your transcript under Degrees Awarded with Graduated.
If your fall 2025 degree has not yet been awarded, any honors will be listed near the top of your transcript under Degrees Awarded with Applied to Graduate and a blank Degree Date.
Spring 2026 grades are not finalized until after the graduation ceremonies, so honors medallions are awarded based on your fall 2025 cumulative GPA. Verify that your fall 2025 cumulative GPA is 3.60 or higher. If your academic honors eligibility/type changes after your spring 2026 graduation, you may exchange your honors medallion at the UVU Store for the correct honors medallion.
Please note that summer 2026 graduates participate in graduation ceremonies on an exception basis, and are not eligible for honors recognitions during the ceremonies. If your degree is awarded with honors, you can purchase an honors medallion in spring 2027.
The Honors Program, dean’s list, etc. are separate from academic honors and do not qualify for honors medallions.
You may purchase an honors medallion even if you are not participating in convocation or commencement ceremonies.
Each honors medallion is $25, plus Utah sales tax.
