African Diaspora

Students of the African Diaspora
Founded in 2020 and serves as an African-centered home away from home and oasis for students of diverse African and Black identities. Our programming is rooted in African principles and philosophies and includes African-centered celebrations, networking, and leadership development. We center our services around African and African diaspora language, practice, philosophies, and realities.

The Asian Initiative celebrates and promotes Asian and Asian American identity and culture. We create a sense of community and develop cultural understanding through education, awareness, and appreciation. Our goal is to develop programming and offer support to students to increase student enrollment and improve college access for Asian and Asian American Wolverines who are otherwise underserved.

Latino Initiative

UVU has the largest Latino student population at a four-year higher education institution in Utah, and the Latino Initiative has served our Latino Wolverines since 2007. In that time, we have increased UVU’s Latino student enrollment by 398% and its graduation headcount by 724%. We are dedicated to providing services, programs, and resources that advance UVU’s Latino student population.

Supporting and engaging with current and prospective Pacific Islander students since 2015. We encourage all to learn about and participate in the cultural beliefs, traditions, and lived experiences of Pacific Islanders at UVU. Our mission is to promote and advocate for academic and cultural success among Pacific Islander students within UVU and the broader community.
