The purpose of the Cultural Diversity Scholarship is to provide students an opportunity to attend Utah Valley University. It is a needs-based scholarship, so specific factors are considered in order to be awarded this scholarship. This scholarship consists of two half-tuition waivers: one for fall semester and one for spring semester. Receipt of spring award is conditional upon completion of fall semester requirements.
Prior to applying for the Cultural Diversity Scholarship, you must be admitted to UVU. If you need to apply, visit the Admissions office. If you are currently a concurrent enrollment student at UVU, you have already been admitted.
Once you are a currently admitted UVU student, log into your myUVU account and access the “Paying For My Education” page to view and apply for UVU scholarships.
This scholarship is available to students involved with the African Diaspora Initiative and are currently enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Preference given to students involved with the Black Student Union Club at UVU. The application is open to in-state, out-of-state, international students with an F-1 Visa, and undocumented students who graduated from a Utah high school.
Student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.0 and must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits with preference to those enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits. Preference for those involved with the Latino Initiative.
Student must demonstrate leadership within the LGBTQ+ community, must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA, and must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits.
