We invite everyone to participate in our Dia de Los Muertos celebrations each year.
UVU departments and colleges join us in this celebration as we build bridges of understanding
cross-culturally and create spaces on campus that encourage diversity, inclusion,
and different approaches. The Dia de los Muertos (“Day of the Dead”) tradition extends
throughout Latin America but is most closely identified with Mexico. The Indigenous
people believe that upon death, the individual’s soul did not die, but continued to
live on in a place of rest.
