UVU’s Student Life division and several of its associated programs have undergone name changes to better reflect the purposes and services they provide to students on campus. The division will now officially be known as UVU’s Student Development and Well-Being and will focus on a fuller development of students and their college experience.

“Over the past eight years, we have expanded our services substantially and moved away from the traditional Student Life purpose by providing meaningful services to students focused on student development and well-being,” said Alexis Palmer, associate vice president of Student Development and Well-Being and dean of students.

The division will provide a balance of academic, social, civic, and personal growth and development resources for all students that participate in any of their following programs, including:

“We are here to help students succeed by providing student development and well-being resources, services, programs, and initiatives,” Palmer said. “Student Development and Well-Being encompasses so many aspects of the holistic student. We address areas from physical health to financial health and everything in between, and now our division name represents that.”
