SCUP tutors work with a variety of students of different ages and backgrounds. Several of our positions are eligible for Federal Work Study (FWS).
SCUP private tutors focus on Math, Science, English, and business subjects and work one-on-one with K-16 students to provide tutoring and encouragement. Openings are posted each semester on UVU Jobs.
America Reads & Counts tutors are placed in local elementary schools to help teachers and elementary students with literacy and math through classroom, small group or one-on-one tutoring.
America Reads & Counts tutor positions are Federal Work Study only. Accepted FWS students can apply for this position on the UVU Job Board.
After-School Literacy Program tutors work out of the SCUP office and work with elementary-aged students one-on-one to improve literacy and increase reading levels.
After-School Literacy Program tutor positions are Federal Work Study only. Accepted FWS students can apply for this position through Financial Aid.
