What is the Food Pantry?

In partnership with Community Action Services and Food Bank, this on-campus food pantry is available to students, faculty, and staff struggling with food insecurity. The UVU Food Pantry offers canned goods and boxed items along with basic hygiene items, and some baby products such as formula, diapers, etc. These items are available only when our partner Community Action Services and Food Bank has them in stock. The UVU Food Pantry provides bags for students to use during their visit, though students are encouraged to bring reusable bags.

For immediate food needs, students should come meet with a member of the CARE Hub in SL 101. Appointments can be made HERE.

Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Please keep in mind that sometimes we are in meetings or attending other events during these hours.

Who Can Use It?

Criteria: You must be a UVU student taking at least 6 credits during the Fall/Spring semesters or faculty/staff working at UVU. During the Summer terms, students do not need to be enrolled in school to use the Food Pantry. Due to our limited capacity, we ask that the food only feed those in your immediate family. Family includes dependents (under the age of 18 living at home) or spouse of the student.

Instructions for online orders: Use the link above to access the Online Ordering Form. You will need to login using your UVU ID and password. Once you have logged in, it should open the form. Submit your order and you will receive a confirmation email by 2 p.m. the day of pick-up. When you arrive at the Center for Social Impact (SL 101- under the SLWC bridge), please make sure to have your UVU ID on hand to verify identity.

Instructions for In Person: Stop by SL 101 to fill your own pantry order. Bring a reusable bag, and students only need to know their UVU ID.

Whether online or in person, students can use the pantry up to once per week.

Donations

If you are interested in donating non-perishable food items please donate the items to Community Action Services and Food Bank located at 815 S. Freedom Blvd in Provo. The Food Pantry is not able to accept food donations due to processing procedures. Community Action Services Food Bank processes all food donated and sends UVU items based on UVU's needs.
