Charge

Provide students who experience a bias incident to seek assistance from the Bias Education Support Team. The BEST’s mission is to educate and support members of the campus community impacted by bias incidents and empower them to respond effectively. It is not the purpose of BEST to investigate or sanction any student, faculty, or staff. It is not the purpose to take the place of other UVU processes such as Title IX or the Office of Student Conduct. The BEST does not impinge on free speech rights or academic freedom.

What is a Bias Incident

The incident may include on or off campus. The source of bias may include student, faculty, staff, or visitor

Why?

The Bias Education Support Team is here to support our campus community by preserving and advocating for community members rights, providing support and education, as well as empowering an inclusive campus climate.
